How do I reserve the Long Weekend?
Open the Long Weekend product page, choose your departure and review the current A$1,995 land-only offer and A$500 deposit. Tell Abyss about certification, recent dives, rooming and gear before finalising any outside travel. Wait for written confirmation that the trip, accommodation and nominated flights are secured before buying the international ticket.
How do I reserve New Year?
Open the New Year page, review the current A$3,895 package and applicable travel terms, and request the A$850 minimum deposit option. The package involves Dive Adventures travel coordination. Ask about rooming, suitability and current supplier price before payment; the written booking confirmation and travel proposal establish the accepted itinerary and payment schedule.
Does paying the deposit guarantee a seat or flight?
Do not infer that from the booking page alone. The Long Weekend depends on minimum numbers and written accommodation and flight advice. The New Year page says flight and supplier details will be confirmed later, and Dive Adventures’ terms describe written acceptance of a booking. Ask for personal written confirmation of what is actually reserved before buying a separate service.
Is the deposit an extra charge?
The deposit is part of the price, not a second advertised package price; the exact invoice states the amount credited and any further payments. The current Long Weekend states A$500 with balance 60 days before departure; New Year states an A$850 minimum deposit and relies on the organiser’s written payment schedule.
Can I cancel, transfer or change dates?
The outcome depends on your exact booking, timing, suppliers and the terms you accepted. Abyss publishes overseas trip terms, and the New Year page also links the Dive Adventures booking terms. Ask the team for the applicable written conditions before paying. The Beacon should not promise that a deposit is always refundable, always lost, or transferable without cost.
What if Abyss or a supplier changes the trip?
A site change for safety is common in diving; a material travel or package change is a different issue. The organiser will explain the options under the accepted terms, supplier arrangements and applicable consumer law. Contact the team with your booking details rather than treating a generic answer as a decision on your own payment.
How can I check actual availability?
Use the booking option on the exact trip page, then ask the Abyss team to confirm a real place, room type, diver suitability and any flight arrangement. The Beacon can present published departures but does not read a verified live allocation for a particular guest. An ‘In Stock’ label or stale travel-hub listing should not be presented as a confirmed seat.
Who do I contact if I am undecided?
Email dive@abyss.com.au or use the enquiry action on the chosen trip page. Include your certification, last dive, preferred dates, number of travellers, who will dive, departure city and main concern. Abyss can then suggest the Long Weekend, New Year, a preparation step or a separate itinerary instead of sending a generic brochure.
What should I do after I reserve?
Read the written confirmation and terms, check your passport and insurance, complete medical forms where required, plan equipment hire and attend any pre-trip meeting.
